Telegram Open Network (TON)
Telegram Open Network (TON) is a decentralized blockchain platform that was developed by the messaging app Telegram. The platform facilitates the creation, storage, and transfer of digital assets like cryptocurrency, smart contracts, and decentralized applications. TON has a unique approach to consensus known as the Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) protocol that enables it to reach consensus on transactions more quickly and efficiently than traditional blockchain platforms. TON was originally set to launch in 2018, but the project was halted due to regulatory issues. Despite this setback, TON is still considered to be a highly anticipated blockchain project due to its potential to revolutionize the way we store and transfer digital assets.
