Nortel Networks

Nortel Networks was a multinational telecommunications and networking equipment company based in Canada. The company was founded in 1895 and grew to become a major player in the telecommunications industry. Nortel Networks focused primarily on developing technologies for wireless and wireline networks, such as switches, routers, and optical networking equipment. The company provided solutions for both businesses and service providers. In the 1990s and early 2000s, Nortel Networks was one of the largest technology companies in the world. However, in the mid-2000s, the company began to decline due to financial mismanagement and accounting scandals. Nortel Networks eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and was dissolved the following year.
