Melonie Darcy

Melonie Darcy is a crypto enthusiast and the Founder of Mochi Capital, a Singapore-based investment firm focused on early stage investments in decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain-based projects. She started her career at Bain & Company, where she served as a consultant for several years before joining Bain Capital Credit as an investor. At Bain Capital Credit, Darcy focused on private equity investments and was instrumental in setting up the firm's direct lending business in the Asia-Pacific region. Darcy's interest in crypto started in 2016 when she initially invested in Bitcoin and then started researching the technology underlying the digital currency. Since then, she has become a leading voice in the DeFi space and continues to invest in blockchain-based projects through her firm. In addition to her work at Mochi Capital, Darcy is also a venture partner at SEED Ventures, where she advises on investments in FinTech and blockchain-based startups. Darcy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
