Rene Reinsberg

Rene Reinsberg is an entrepreneur and investor with a passion for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. He is the co-founder and CEO of Celo, a decentralized platform that enables fast and secure mobile payments and blockchain-based financial services. Prior to founding Celo, Reinsberg co-founded Locu, a local search and menu-publishing platform that was acquired by GoDaddy in 2013. Reinsberg is also an active angel investor and advises several startups in the blockchain and fintech space. He has previously served as a venture partner at the venture capital firm First Round Capital and as a senior product leader at Google. Reinsberg has a background in computer science and management and holds degrees from the Technical University of Munich and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
