He is the founder of Duquesne Capital, a hedge fund that he managed from 1981 to 2010. During his tenure at Duquesne Capital, he delivered an average annual return of 30%. Druckenmiller has also worked for George Soros as the lead portfolio manager for Quantum Fund, where he was responsible for generating profits of $1 billion in a single day by shorting the British pound in 1992.
