Yan-David Erlich is the co-founder and general partner of Coatue, a technology-focused investment firm with over $30 billion in assets under management. He is a veteran investor, entrepreneur, and software engineer who has a deep interest in the intersection of technology and finance. Erlich began his career as a software engineer at Oracle Corporation before co-founding the mobile payments startup Mogad in 2001. After Mogad was acquired by mobile software platform Good Technology in 2004, Erlich became Good's Vice President of Engineering. In 2007, he co-founded the mobile gaming startup TangoMe, which went public in 2021. Erlich has also been an active investor in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. He is a board member of the Ethereum-based prediction platform Augur and has invested in numerous other blockchain projects. Erlich holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Stanford University and a master's degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Outside of his professional ventures, Erlich is also an avid musician and performs as a cello player in various orchestras and chamber ensembles.
